A Colorado Man’s Seizure Causes Four-Car Accident

A Sterling, Colorado man suffered a seizure, which led to a four-car accident in Nebraska that left him hospitalized, according to the Fremont Tribune. The man, 35, was traveling through the Nebraska Panhandle near Scottsbluff shortly before 10 a.m. when the accident occurred. As he was heading eastbound on the South Beltline Highway near the Avenue B intersection, he clipped the rear of a second eastbound car that was turning left onto Avenue B.

The second car was forced into the median as a result of the collision. The Colorado man’s car, meanwhile, continued east and into the parking lot of Commercial Contractors, where it crashed into a parked pickup truck, which, due to the force of the impact, struck another parked pickup truck.

The Sterling man was the only person injured in this multi-vehicle wreck. Following the accident, he was taken to Regional West Medical Center, where he was listed in serious condition with what were described as facial injuries.

The investigation into the accident was still ongoing at the time of this report, but police believe the Colorado man suffered a seizure, causing him to drive erratically and, ultimately, initiate the series of wrecks.
