Four injured riders from Iowa were released from Torrington Community Hospital in Wyoming after being treated for minor injuries after a two-motorcycle accident on Saturday, June 25, 2011.
The three riders were travelling westbound on U.S. Highway 26 near the Wyoming-Nebraska state line just before 7 p.m. The first rider slowed to make a right-hand turn, which slowed the line of cycles. The third motorcycle then collided with the second when the line of cycles slowed.
The driver of the third motorcycle, Lyn Coen, was riding with his wife, Mary Coen. Robin Williams was riding the second motorcycle with his wife, Lo Ann Williams. Lynn Coen suffered a broken ankle in the accident; the other riders’ injuries were not reported.
The Wyoming Highway Patrol, Goshen County Sheriff’s Department and Torrington emergency medical services arrived on the scene and transported the riders to the hospital. The Coens and the Williamses were released from the hospital on Tuesday, June 28, 2011.
All four riders were wearing helmets at the time of the accident. If you or someone you know was injured in a motorcycle accident, a Denver Injury Attorney can provide guidance.
