Motorcycle Clubs Come Together to Feed The Homeless

A conglomeration of motorcycle clubs banded together this holiday season to prepare and serve a warm feast to the homeless in James McClatchy Park in Sacramento, California on Sunday, December 22, according to the Sac Bee. The event was initially conceived by the founder of the motorcycle club Mo’Better Stunnas. She said, “[t]here are so many people who just need a hot meal. We know what it’s like to be hungry, so once I was able, I started giving.” Last year, she organized 17 clubs and fed 100 people. This year, the Mo’Better Stunnas founder contacted approximately 30 clubs and hopes to feed about 300 people.

Events such as these are important because they contribute to changing the public perception of motorcycle clubs. The president of Sacramento Game Ready SMC said, “[w]e’re not outlaws. Many of us give back to the community and help the less fortunate.” By feeding over 270 people, the motorcycle clubs helped to foster a sense of wholesome community in an area that is known for drug abuse and criminal behavior.
