The Fort Collins Coloradoan is reporting that a woman was killed and two other people were seriously injured in a fatal car accident north of Fort Collins. The accident happened on the afternoon of September 10 on Terry Lake Road about 50 feet north of the Richards Lake Road/Larimer County Road 52E intersection.
According to the Colorado State Patrol (CSP), a Ford sedan was traveling north on Terry Lake Road when a silver Kia SUV traveling southbound swerved across the center line causing a head-on collision between the two vehicles. Authorities are still investigating what caused the Kia to swerve across the center line. CSP has not yet released the identities of the people involved in the car accident.
A woman from the Ford died on the scene. The woman driving the Kia was treated and transported to an area hospital by Poudre Valley Hospital EMS. A second woman from the Ford was also treated on the scene and taken to a local hospital. At the time of this report, CSP was not clear which woman from the Ford was the driver and which was the passenger.
