Random Acts of Kindness Can Save the Lives of Accident Victims

Motorcycle accidents are a common threat to all motorcyclists, and it is a good reason why it is important to stand together as a community to help those who have been hurt by them.

After almost losing his life in a motorcycle accident, Brandon Levine was kept alive by the kindness and generosity of 200 people he had never met before. Donations to the UCLA Blood and Platelet Center helped keep Brandon alive long enough for doctors to treat his severe injuries.

After his accident, Brandon was rushed to the hospital with a shattered face, all of his teeth broken and his lungs, liver and kidneys damaged to the point of failure. During the extensive surgery to repair his organs and fix a ruptured aorta, the one thing that helped keep him alive came from other people. Despite injuries that would have killed most people, years later, Brandon was able to stand in front of his rescuers at an event hosted by UCLA so he could thank them.
