Michael Jakscht, a dump truck driver in Arizona, was convicted of killing four motorcyclists and injuring five others when he crashed into a group of bikers at a stoplight on March 25, 2010. On November 16, he will receive his sentencing.

The Maricopa County Superior Court found him guilty of four counts of manslaughter, four counts of endangerment and five counts of aggravated assault. These charges could lead up to 36 years in prison.

Police said that Jakscht tested positive for methamphetamine soon after the accident.

Jakscht’s lawyers claim that the accident was not his fault. They argued that the faulty brakes in his truck played a significant role in the motorcycle accident.

This is the second trial for Jakscht. The jury could not reach a verdict in 2011, leading to a mistrial.
