Vehicles Crash into Multiple Colorado Storefronts

A woman drove through the front window of a Denver 7-Eleven convenience store last Wednesday. There were no injuries in the car accident, but the woman did slightly damage the exterior of the store and several items of merchandise inside the store. Her car was also seriously damaged.

The woman said that she panicked when she crashed through the storefront window and accidentally slammed on the gas pedal instead of the breaks, sending her vehicle and the cash register to the back of the store. The clerk and a customer were inside the store when they heard the accident around 5 a.m.

The accident was preceded by a similar Denver car accident two days prior. A stolen truck smashed through the brick wall of an EZ Pawn shop in Lakewood last Monday. Police officials believe that it may have been an attempted robbery and are currently searching for the two men who fled the scene after the crash. Nothing was stolen as far as they know.

That accident could have been related to yet another incident a week prior when burglars smashed a stolen truck through a Colorado Springs pawnshop wall and stole several items.

Whether accidental or intentional, these kinds of accidents can cause serious injuries, property destruction and possibly death. It is a wonder that there were no accidental deaths or serious injuries in any of these accidents.
